This book is a user manual for the Crewing module. It explains crew profiles, crew documents and appraisals from a user point of view.

The Crewing module is used to manage crew profiles, ranks, required documents, document expiry status and appraisals.

Use this module to:

  • Maintain crew member profiles and contact details.
  • Track current and historical ranks.
  • Store personal, training, medical and other crew documents.
  • See missing, expired and due documents.
  • Notify crew members when documents need attention.
  • Create, complete and review crew appraisals.

Main Sections

Section Purpose
Crew View active and archived crew members and open crew profiles.
Appraisals Manage draft appraisals, pending approvals and appraisal history.
Crew Documents Review document status across all active crew members.

Required Permissions

Permission Allows
Access crewing module Open the Crewing module.
View all crew profiles View crew profiles.
Manage all crew Manage crew records broadly.
Create crew Create new crew members.
Edit crew Update crew member details.
Delete crew Remove crew members.
View archived crew profiles View crew members who are no longer active.
View crew documents Open the crew document status overview.
Create Crew documents Add documents to crew profiles.
Update Crew documents Edit or renew crew documents.
Delete Crew documents Archive or permanently delete crew documents.
Notify crew about documents Send document reminder notifications.
Access appraisals overview Open the appraisal overview.
Approve appraisals Approve appraisals awaiting review.

The options you see depend on your permissions. If a button or action is missing, you probably do not have the required permission.
