General Settings

General settings are used for the parts of Marlinspike that apply to the whole application.

General settings

You need Access Settings Module and Manage General Settings to change this page.

Open Settings and click General.

The Appearance section controls the images used by Marlinspike.

You can change:

Select the upload box next to the image you want to replace. Choose the new image and click Upload new pictures.

The Security section controls how users are allowed to log in.

There are separate options for cloud access and vessel access.

You can switch on or off:

The switches are saved when you change them.

If two-factor authentication is required and one-time passwords are disabled, users must use passkeys.

The License & Console section shows the current license status and the licensed modules.

Click Check license status to run a new license check.

Click Sync all available data to retrieve the available console data sets.

Only change the Console API token when instructed by Off Canvas or your system administrator.

The Activity page shows the latest application activity from the past month.

Click Show activity to open it.

Activity

This page is useful when you want to see what recently happened in Marlinspike. It is not a synchronisation status page.

The About section shows the installed Marlinspike version and issue date.

Click E-mail support when you need to contact support with the vessel and version information included.
