Port Entries
Open a port from the Port Directory list to view its detail page.
Port Details
A port entry can show:
- Port name
- Country
- Area
- UN/LOCODE
- Position
- Berths
- Facilities
- Port pictures
- Information sections
- Related ports in the same area or country
Add or Edit a Port
Users with update permission can add or edit port information.
Common information includes:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Type | Country, area, port or anchorage. |
| Title | Name of the entry. |
| Country | Country for the entry. |
| Area | Parent area, if applicable. |
| LOCODE | UN/LOCODE or local port code. |
| Position | Coordinates for map display. |
| Berths | Berth details. |
| Facilities | Available port facilities. |
Information Sections
Port entries can include information sections for operational notes and local details.
Use these sections for information such as:
- Arrival procedures
- Berthing notes
- Port services
- Local restrictions
- Agency notes
- Useful instructions for repeat visits
Pictures
Pictures can be added to support recognition of the port, berth, approach or local facilities.
